Stevenson Resources won the inaugural AQA Innovation Award in 2006 for our new pugmill installation at Drury Quarry.

This was awarded at the joint Annual Conference of the Aggregate and Quarry Association (AQA) and the Institute of Quarrying (IOQ) in 2006.

The new state-of-the-art pugmill (continuous mixing plant)  produces aggregates with superior grading control, the potential for lime or cement additives and accurate dosing of water content. It is also used to make use of marginal aggregates from upper quarry layers blended with premium aggregates to produce high specification roading aggregates for customers.
